I am not sure how many of you have seen this already. However I have received the attached notes on how to respond to crime/ASB from Sue Gibson, the Neighbourhood Watch Co-ordinator for Hampshire Constabulary. She has asked that they be distributed to all members of Neighbourhood Watch in the area. One note is for Co-ordinators, the other for Watch members, but the differences are minimal. Co-ordinators please bring to the attention of watch members in your area.
Thanks
Brian Turner, Chairman Denmead Neighbourhood Watch Committee

The following letter has been received from the Hampshire Constabulary.
Dear all, We are seeking to increase the information available regarding distraction burglars operating in our area. It is known that offenders often visit areas before committing crime to identify targets. This can be done in the guise of door step sellers or simply by offenders visiting an area and paying attention to those properties which appear to be the homes of vulnerable persons. Un-recognised individuals and their vehicles will be noticed by someone in the local area. We would like to involve Neighbourhood Watch to assist in gathering information. An explanatory letter is attached. Please can you pass this information on. The more people we can get involved in this the better. Many Thanks. Hazel
